British American Drama School: ‘Greek Theatre: from the Ancient World to the Modern, through Theory and Performance’

Applications are now open for the British American Drama School’s new Greek theatre course called Greek Theatre: from The Ancient World to the Modern, through Theory and Performance.

3 June – 1 July 2022

This month-long interdisciplinary summer program is dedicated to exploring the performance and reception of ancient dramatic scripts and is suitable for Classics students and theatre practitioners at various career stages. Participants will spend the first two weeks in London before travelling to Greece for nine days and then returning to the UK for a final six-day residency in Oxford at the APGRD. Theory and practice will be combined throughout, with teaching from academics, including members of the APGRD team, plus workshops led by theatre practitioners from the RSC and the National Theatre of Greece. The closing date for applications is 19th January 2022.

The British American Drama Academy (BADA) was founded in 1984 to enable students from the United States and around the world to study theatre with leading actors and directors of the British stage.
