British School at Athens: The Hector and Elizabeth Catling Doctoral Award

Open to doctoral scholars studying any aspect of Greece and the Greek world as defined in the BSA’s mission statement. Candidates should be studying at a UK HEI; recently graduated students who have not yet held an academic post are also eligible to apply.

Includes:

  • One return flight to Greece
  • One month’s membership of the British School at Athens, granting full access to all BSA facilities and a museum pass for free access to archaeological sites and museums in Greece.
  • Ten days of accommodation in the BSA hostel. (The stay in Greece can be extended at the candidate’s own expense)
