British School at Athens: Vronwy Hankey Memorial Travel Award for Pre-Doctoral Students

Open to students who have not yet started a doctoral course of study, whose interests are in the prehistory of the Aegean and its connections with the East Mediterranean. Candidates should be studying at or have recently graduated from a UK HEI.


  • One return flight to Greece
  • One month’s membership of the British School at Athens, granting full access to all BSA facilities and a museum pass for free access to archaeological sites and museums in Greece.
  • Ten days of accommodation in the BSA hostel. (The stay in Greece can be extended at the candidate’s own expense)
