Fonte Aretusa: ‘Ancient Greek for Philosophers’ online course

The ability to navigate Greek texts enhances our understanding of ancient philosophy and reveals its hidden treasures. “Greek for Philosophers” provides opportunities for scholars of philosophy to cultivate their language skills and engage with the ancient texts, whether they have studied Greek before or not.

Registration is now open for the winter term of online courses running January 5 – March 9, 2022.

We have added a complete beginners course, which is also good preparation for our summer seminar.

Dr. Chiara Blanco will teach beginners Greek on Tuesdays 6:30-7:30 PM CET and false beginners on Thursdays 6:30-7:30 PM CET.

Prof. George Gazis leads the reading group on Plato’s Gorgias Wednesdays 5:00-6:00 PM CET.

Classes are recorded and links are provided to students for review. For details and registration, contact Susi Kimbell [email protected] or see the website.
