The Latin Programme Poetry Prize 2020

The Latin Programme has launched its first Poetry Prize, which will be judged by writers Deanna Rodger, Blake Morrison and Ella Hickson.

Entrants aged 18+ are invited to submit a poem using the Latin phrase ‘de rerum natura’ (‘on the nature of things’) as a starting point.  Entries should be no more than 40 lines.

The deadline for entries is 1 December, and the winner will be announced on 1 February 2021.  The winner will receive a prize of £250.

An entry fee of £12 is required which will contribute towards the continued delivery of the The Latin Programme in London state schools.
