The Department of Classics, Ancient History and Archaeology in the University of Birmingham invite you to an open event on Wednesday 25th June to mark one hundred and twenty-five years of Classics teaching in the University.
There will be a special focus on the University’s historic role in helping to bring Classics to students and a wider public across the West Midlands of England.
Classicists and those with an interest in the subject are invited to come and join us for any or all of the following sessions:

- Professor Alice Roberts will deliver a lecture on the interface between the sciences and the humanities, and on the place of Classics in a civic university today.
