Queen’s College, Cambridge: ‘R. M. Dawkins and the British School at Athens: from archaeology to dialects and folklore’

On 13th March 2026, in Queens’ College, Cambridge there will be a colloquium on Richard M. Dawkins, Director of the British School at Athens (1906–1914) and the first occupant of the Bywater and Sotheby Chair of Byzantine and Modern Greek Language and Literature at the University of Oxford (1920–1939). This event will be jointly hosted by the Cambridge Centre for Greek Studies and the British School at Athens.
