- This year marks the 50th anniversary since the foundation of the London Summer School in Classics.
- There will be a special lecture and a tea and cake party at the end of the Summer School to celebrate 50 remarkable years of classical language learning.
The London Summer School in Classics 2026 will be held from Tuesday 14 to Thursday 23 of July 2026. Classes will be held primarily on campus, with most classes running in person (students will be able to join the in-person classes remotely via Zoom). A few classes will be run online only.
- London Summer School is an eight-day course in Ancient Greek and Latin (at all levels), as well as Akkadian, Hittite, Sumerian, New Testament/Koine Greek, and Sanskrit. In addition to daily language classes, there will be lectures and workshops at the end of most days. The minimum age for attendees is 14 years.
- There are four language classes each day, as well as lectures and epigraphy workshops, between 10:30 and 16:30.
- There is no teaching during the weekend.
- Please note you may only study one language at the Summer School.
