Dr Shelley Hales (University of Bristol): ‘What’s new at Pompeii: Fresh Excavations and Familiar Stories’

The new excavations in Pompeii have generated enormous public interest, positive headlines and several internet memes! This talk, by Dr Shelley Hales, is an excellent opportunity to take a closer look at the buildings, objects, decoration and human remains found in Regio V.  It also allows us to consider whether these excavations are so different from those of previous generations and what the longer-term consequences might be.

Please feel welcome to join us.  Tea and coffee provided from 7pm.
