APGRD: colloquium on Aeschylus’ Agamemnon

The upcoming APGRD colloquium on Aeschylus’ Agamemnon will take place on Friday 21 March from 1.30pm in the Lecture Theatre, Ioannou Centre, 66 St Giles’, Oxford.

Attendance is free and open to all, but please book your place via our Event page by 20 March. If you would like to join for the earlier time of 12.30pm for an informal buffet-style lunch, there is a fee of £8 per person, which can be selected as an optional extra when registering. Please note that the final booking date for lunch is this Friday 14 March.

This hybrid colloquium is devoted to current research on Aeschylus’ Agamemnon. In addition to work in progress, it will celebrate the publication of three new works on the play: Aeschylus: Agamemnon by Edith Hall (Aris & Phillips, Liverpool University Press, 2024), Aeschylus: Agamemnon by Leah Himmelhoch (Bloomsbury, 2023), and Agamemnon, a Performance History by Claire Kenward & Fiona Macintosh (interactive/multimedia eBook, APGRD, 2023).
