The fifth Doris Post Essay Prize, the annual competition reserved for Ph.D. candidates, is open for entries. The submission deadline for essays is midnight British Summer Time on 31/07/2026.
£300 is awarded to the best original essay on any topic related to Herodotus and his world, including the reception of the Histories in other ancient and modern literature.
