UCL Department of Greek and Latin Postgraduate Open Evening
Postgraduate study in Classics and the Ancient Middle East: language, literature and reception.
On Wednesday 30 November December 2022 (5:00-6:00pm) the Department of Greek and Latin at UCL will hold an open evening for anyone interested in postgraduate study with us.
5:00-6:00 (drop in sessions, in person or on Zoom)
6:00-7:00pm (on Zoom)
Miriam Leonard (Director of our MA programmes) and Stephen Colvin (Director of the PhD programme) will be available for drop-in visits between 5:00 and 6:00pm (either in person in the Department or on Zoom – please email m.leonard@ucl.ac.uk if you would like to attend the drop in session in person). From 6:00 to 7:00 pm we shall hold an open evening for prospective MA and PhD applicants (on Zoom). There will be talks about postgraduate life in our UCL Classics community and an opportunity for Q&A.
All are welcome to one or both of these events. If you have any queries please contact directly Miriam Leonard for MA matters or Stephen Colvin for PhD matters. Potential PhD students are also welcome to contact Stephen Colvin directly to make an appointment to discuss research plans (either on 30 Nov. 5:00 – 6:00pm or on another day). He will be able to arrange for you to meet a potential supervisor.
At 6:00 pm there will be talks about postgraduate life in the the Department.
At 6.30 pm there will be an opportunity for discussion and Q&A with the MA and PhD Tutors and current students.
