Sixteen workshops were delivered by teachers across all settings (state, independent, FE, HE) on how to improve teaching Classical Civilisation at KS3, GCSE and A level.

A common theme was recruitment and retention, closely connected to the need to build students’ confidence and their skills in literacy, essay-writing and analytical thinking.

Our speakers identified a range of pedagogical techniques and tools through which to address these areas. We’ve summarised the tips and advice shared onto a document you can download below, which also includes a full list of the workshops delivered on the day, and links to the resources shared.
