Classics for All is offering free online training this summer to support the teaching and learning of Classics. For 2022, these courses will once again be held online, replacing our popular in-person courses held annually at Harrow School. This year, we have expanded our programme to include sessions on Primary Latin, GCSE Latin Literature and A Level Classical Civilisation.
This training is open to anyone who is teaching in state schools and colleges in the UK. Whether you are interested in introducing Latin, Ancient Greek or Classical Civilisation into your school or college for the first time, or whether you would like to consolidate your own understanding to support what you currently teach, we hope that this CPD opportunity will prove invaluable.
4 x 2 hour sessions, running Tuesday 23rd – Friday 26th August 2022. Please note that there will only be 3 sessions for the A Level Class Civ group, running from Wednesday to Friday.
We hope to be able to offer six different groups but this may depend on levels of interest.
Course options:
Group 1: Beginners’ Latin (CLC Book 1)
Group 2: Intermediate Latin
Group 3: Primary Latin with Maximum Classics
Group 4: Beginners’ Greek for the Intermediate Certificate in Classical Greek
Group 5: Teaching Eduqas GCSE Latin Literature
Group 6: Teaching A Level Classical Civilisation
