As part of the Third Annual Meeting of the Imagination Research Network, QMUL is hosting a symposium dedicated to Verity Platt’s 2025 OUP book, ‘Epistemic Impressions: Making and Mediating Classical Art and Text’. In addition to an introduction by the author, there will be responses by Albert Bates, Emily Clifford and Ruth Webb.
All are warmly invited and participation is free, but pre-registration is requested via this link.
The symposium forms part of a larger two-day event, with a second workshop on ‘Technologies of Wonder: Imagination and the History of Knowledge’ on Tuesday 12 May (10am to 5pm: Room GC701, 7th Floor, Graduate Centre QMUL, Mile End Road, London, E1 4NS).
Note: this is not a Classical Association event – please contact the organisers directly with any enquiries.
