The Odyssey Live! – a live literary event from The London Literary Salon – is returning for two London dates this autumn following a full-house performance in July.
Salon founder Toby Brothers, joined by Alexis Cambanis, Susanna Taggart and Jane Wymark, will bring key passages from Homer’s epic to life through live readings and discussion, following Odysseus’ ten-year journey home to Ithaca, his encounters with the Cyclops, the Sirens and Circe, and his reunion with Penelope and Telemachus.
The readings will be followed by an audience Q&A exploring why this nearly 3,000-year-old story remains so relevant today.
If Christopher Nolan’s film has made audiences curious about the story behind the film, this is a chance to come back to Homer himself.
